Can your diet affect your ability to achieve a strong erection? You bet it can. And new research proves that coffee – but not just any coffee – and dramatically reduce the risk of erectile dysfunction.

In today’s article I am going to tell you about this new discovery. And I’ll tell you what you can do to protect yourself against erectile dysfunction.

Erectile Dysfunction Affects Most Men

Did you know that nearly 20 percent of all men suffer from erectile dysfunction? And with each additional decade of life, the rates increase. Nearly half of all men in their 40s suffer erectile dysfunction. And 70 percent of men in their 70s suffer from the condition.

While many men are reluctant to talk about erectile dysfunction, it is clear that it affects many.

Drug companies are getting richer quick from the sales of drugs designed to increase erections. According to some surveys, half or more of men in some cities use such drugs. But unfortunately, those drugs are not without risk.

Many drugs such as Viagra and Cialis have been shown to increase the risk of various diseases. And they also can produce painful, prolonged erections that can damage the penis. That’s quite a price to pay.

What’s clear is that natural solutions to erectile dysfunction are needed.

Two Cups of Coffee Prevent Erectile Dysfunction

Recent research has shown that natural solutions can have exciting results. In a large study it was recently found that caffeine can reduce the risk of erectile dysfunction by more than 40 percent!

The amount of caffeine to produce optimal benefits is between 85 and 170 mg of caffeine daily. The study found that all sources of caffeine produce equal benefits. That means that caffeine from tea, coffee, soda, or energy drinks can reduce erectile dysfunction.

However, it is clear that coffee is the clear winner and that most other sources of caffeine consumption are not as desirable. That’s for several reasons.

For one thing, coffee is completely natural. It is a natural source of caffeine and it is a powerful source of antioxidants. On the other hand, sodas and energy drinks use synthetic caffeine and include synthetic and artificial ingredients that may be harmful. Synthetic and artificial ingredients often have contaminants and can cause harmful health effects.

And while tea is also a natural source of caffeine, it is not as good of a source as coffee. You’d have to drink much more tea than coffee to get the same benefits.

To achieve the optimal benefits from coffee, you’d need 2 or 3 cups per day of naturally caffeinated coffee. More than that produces less benefit. So if you are in the habit of drinking excessive amounts of coffee, you should know that less is more.

How Coffee Helps

Scientists have known for a long time that coffee consumption is associated with a long list of health benefits. So improvements in erectile health are just one more in that list.

But how does coffee improve erectile health?

Well, some of the benefits of coffee are directly associated with its effects on the cardiovascular system. For example, coffee reduces the risk of heart disease and strokes. Scientists say that coffee improves the cardiovascular system. It is a powerful antioxidant that strengthens the blood vessels. And it is known to tone the blood vessels as well.

Since erection health is directly connected to the health of the cardiovascular system, it should come as no surprise that coffee can help.

Also, while research has shown that caffeine can constrict some blood vessels, it also relaxes others at the same time. Scientists think that the relaxation of some blood vessels may be part of why coffee can be so powerful in improving erectile health.

A Whole Lifestyle Increases Erectile Health

It is clear that regular, moderate coffee consumption improves erectile health. However, keep in mind that it’s not the only thing that can help.

Since erectile health is directly connected with cardiovascular health and hormonal health, erectile dysfunction reflects poor overall health.

So the best solution (and prevention) for erectile dysfunction is to take care of your overall health.

Here are some tips for supporting your health.

  • Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables. These foods are rich in antioxidants and nutrients that keep your cardiovascular system healthy.
  • Get daily sunlight. Getting outdoors in the sunlight and fresh air is proven to have many health benefits. It can reduce the risk of cancer, depression, and cognitive decline, and it can improve your sexual health as well.
  • Walk daily. Either excessive exercise or a lack of exercise is harmful for health. Walking is the ideal exercise, and it is proven to maintain optimal sexual health.
  • Avoid toxins. Many toxins are known to disturb hormonal health and damage cardiovascular health. Those include excessive alcohol, smoking, and pesticides.
  • Get adequate sleep nightly. It’s easy to overlook the consequences of too little sleep. But science shows a clear connection between sleep and health. Too little sleep harms hormonal health. Adequate sleep improves sexual health.

Do these things along with a few cups of naturally caffeinated coffee daily, and you’ll enjoy good sexual health for life.
